Welcome to the Amateur
Riders' Club
The Amateur Riders'
Club,
located in the heart of Mumbai, is one of the oldest riding clubs in
India. We offer our members basic to advanced instruction in
riding, polo, dressage, show jumping, tent pegging. Our
activities are conducted in a friendly manner.
From time to
time we conduct mounted sports, coaching camps, out rides to
different places, and social events so that our members get ample
opportunities to interact with each other.
Every March we
conduct the Annual Horse Show and Polo Tournaments in which teams
from around the country participate in show jumping, polo, tent
pegging, and dressage, and mounted sports. In
addition, every May we hold Gymkhana Races, which are similar to
professional races.
Our Club, commonly known as
ARC, has close to 1,400 members. Our stables accommodate approximately
100 horses belonging to the Club and its members. We also have
veterinary and farrier facilities for Club and member owned horses. Our
facilities include 3 riding schools, and a polo ground. Our
club house has air conditioned recreational facilities and a snack
shop.
