Stabling Facilities

The Club offers stabling facilities to members intending to own their own horses. An application is to be filled and submitted along with an initial deposit plus details of the horse. As per Stabling Byelaws, the member is given a stable provided he fulfills the norms of regular riding.

Office Building

The Amateur Riders' Club office is located in its own multi-storeyed building.  The main floor houses the club house.  The first floor consists of the Club Office, Library, and the the residence of the ARC Secretary.  The upper floors house some of the staff of the ARC and Members.

Office Hours:
Mon to Fri - 9 am to 1 pm & 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm
Saturdays - 9 am to 1 pm
Office remains closed on 2nd and 4th Saturdays and other gazetted holidays.

Riding Schools

At the riding area at the race course, the ARC maintains 3 riding schools used for riding, jumping, dressage, and arena polo.

Club House 

The Club has a Recreational Hall equipped with an air-conditioners.  Enjoy a game of  Table Tennis or Carrom or watch some TV while munching on your favourite snack and sipping on a beverage or sit in the verandah area and gossip with the other members.  

A fully furnished canteen offers snacks, tea, coffee and beverages at very reasonable rates to its members in the mornings from 7 am to 10 am and in the evenings from 5 pm to 8 pm.  For more details on the Canteen ... click here.

The club also rent out the hall to members for their childrens' birthday parties at a nominal hire charges.

Birthday party – use of recreational hall and sit out area:
- 50 and less persons - Rs.1500
- over 50 persons - Rs.3000

Rental of horse for marriage purposes

Rs.5000 ( for 2 to 3 hours) for members
Rs.10000 ( for 2 to 3 hours) for non- members

Guest Room

A small air conditioned room is now available for the guest of members with limited facilities. Members wanting to make use of it should book it with the office.

 

Polo Ground

The polo ground, located at the centre of the race course is full of activity during the Annual Horse Show and during the practice polo chukkars.  Whenever you get a chance, visit the polo ground and encourage and support our players who are training hard for the Annual Horse Show & Polo Tournaments.

 

ARC Shop

The Club Shop has all kinds of items you may require for your riding pleasure or for your horse.  T-shirts, Riding Hats, Boots, Breeches, Gloves, Polo Sticks, Neck Ties, etc.  For your horse we have saddlery, reins, blinkers, blankets, bits / snaffles, and numerous other items.  Click here for details.

 

Library

The Club has a small library with books and videos on horses and allied literature. A member may borrow a book for 15 days.  Click here for more details.
