Display the tribute horse to signify victory coming to you
From LILLIAN TOO’S FENG SHUI Good Fortune Symbols
The Chinese always associate the tribute horse with gifts given to emperors and other powerful court officials. From the times of the Sung emperors through to the imperial rulers of the Qing dynasty the tribute horse has always been associated with gifts brought by the vanquished to the victors. Thus the tribute horse symbolized the spoils of battle. If you are involved in a very competitive situation, placing a painting with the tribute horse as the subject is one of the best ways of using symbolic feng shui to bring you victory luck. This is because the horse signifies triumph over your competitors. If you cannot find such a painting, look for something that shows a horse (preferably white) that is laden with precious things and that is being led (not ridden) by an official. This symbolizes upward mobility and promotion. It is very auspicious indeed especially if the horse is white.
The horse is very favorably regarded as one of the precious animals that emits a great deal of yang energy. The horse is also one of the precious animals included in the mandala offering to Buddha. It is emblematic of nobility, class and a comfortable lifestyle. It stands for speed and perseverance. The horse should always be placed south in your house, and this means the south wall or corner of any of the rooms as well. It is best placed in the living and family areas and never in the bedrooms.
Do not display a horse that is rearing up and worse yet do not place such a rearing horse directly behind you or directly confronting you. You will suffer accidents and physical problems related to your limbs if you do that. Instead let the horse be placed in a non-threatening posture. Some wonderful replicas of auspicious horses are the famous Ming horse sculptures that are ideal for the South part of your living room.
