GYMKHANA RACES
2003
We had 7 races in the Gymkhana this year between 4th to 20th May, 2003. 94 horses from Matheran, Pune and Bangalore participated. The stabling was shifted to the RWITC stables after 5 days. The club thanks our patrons who sponsored some races and released money for the club races. 13 Club’s horses took part in the races and the following horses ran to
positions:
1. Ajooba – 4th
2. Aziza - 1st ; 3rd
3. Esplendido - 1st; 2nd
4. Flirtatious - 3rd
5. Little Champ - 1st; 2nd
6. Oriental Thunder 2nd; 4th
7. Millennium - 3rd; 4th; 4th
8. The Tank - 4th

The Stewards of the Gymkhana seriously discussed during the races whether bookies should be allowed in Gymkhana The club conducted the last two races without the bookies.
