AMATEUR RIDERS' CLUB POLO
Polo is one of the main activities
in the Amateur Riders' Club. The ARC has over 35 members
registered with the Indian Polo Association. The Club has a
number of horses specialised for polo. In addition, a number
of members have their own polo ponies.
Practice polo chukkars are played
twice a week at the polo ground located at the centre of the race
course. The chukkars normally start by the end of November and
continue until the end of April or early May.
The Annual Horse Show and Polo
Tournaments are held during the month of March. Apart from ARC
and its members teams, polo teams from the Armed forces and other
civilian teams compete in these tournaments.
Matches during the tournaments are
scheduled for 4-5 times a week.
